POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead, train and develop a team of Inventory Analysts to maximize inventory productivity,
merchandising profitability and customer experience for assortments covering more than 4,500
products from over 500 vendors. Core responsibilities will include managing key collaborative
planning processes, leading process innovation, and developing a high performing team. We are
seeking a candidate with strong knowledge and experience in the following areas: Inventory
Planning Methodologies, Demand Planning/Forecasting Analytics, and Process Management.
LEADERSHIP:
- Lead and mentor a team by communicating a clear set of expectations,
implementing strategic plans, managing priorities, and driving business
results to meet corporate objectives
- Create, develop and implement value-added, innovative operational
processes and technological solutions
- Manage, motivate and positively influence the collaborative planning
process with key cross functional partners in Merchandising, Marketing
and Finance
- Establish supportive work environment committed to the development
of direct reports and individual accountability Inventory Management
- Monitor business trends for relevant product families to identify
opportunities and risks as it relates to inventory condition and customer service
- Manage the monthly collaborative business review process inclusive of:
- Inventory Condition
- Fill Rate
- Forecasts
- Sales Trend
- Inventory Turn
- Sku Lifecycle Management
- Optimize sku lifecycle management through effective Clearance and
Liquidation strategies which minimize obsolescence expense and maximize
cost recovery
- Drive continuous process improvement in the areas of
- Integrated Business Planning
- Operational Processes
- Inventory Optimization
- Customer Service (Fill Rate) Supply Chain Management
- Supply Chain expertise for
- Total delivered cost
- Import & regulatory compliance requirements
- Cycle time management
- Supply Chain contingency planning
- Build vendor partnerships which will deliver innovative supply chain
solutions
- Effective project management in coordinating the operational actions
necessary to support new programs, products or channels of business
- Develop strong cross functional partnerships with Marketing, Finance
and Merchandising
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 4 year degree
- Experience managing and motivating teams of 3 or more
- Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills
- Strong technical skills leveraging Merchandising systems and Microsoft Office suite products
- 3 – 5 years of international supply chain experience preferred
- 5 - 7 Years of applicable experience in a Retail Direct Marketing environment preferred
