JOB SUMMARY:

Develop and oversee coordination of supply chain planning, inventory management, and logistics functions for WEIDMANN, third party products, and customer sourced materials. Assist in the ongoing transformation of WEIDMANN from a provider of products to a value added service provider to our customers and suppliers, i.e., vendor managed inventories, coordination of third party products, and warehouse development. Monitor and coordinate inventory transactions and agreements with producing business units, customers, and warehouse providers. Monitor and manage freight transactions for WEIDMANN consistent with broader strategies across our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), required to use email, phone, and computer effectively (computer includes: Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, MRP systems, SAP, Power Point and other programs). Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Business Management is required plus 3 to 5 years experience in Logistics, Inventory Management and/or Distribution Center operations. APICS certification a plus. Some travel is required, estimated less than 20%. Job will require leadership, innovation and reliability, all used to drive improvement, reduce costs and improve service levels
